Notes
- Birth :-
Her father was Colonel Alexander Hutchinson
This is not the same person as Colonel Charles Hutchinson (sometimes spelt Hutcheson), Governor of St Helena. A daughter of this Colonel Charles Hutchinson married Sir Eyre Coote.
Ella B. Day in her unpublished book "Without Permit" makes this mistake and states erroneously that Mary Hutchinson was a daughter of the Governor of St Helena's and that Robert Home was a cousin of Sir Eyre Coote.8,9
