From the Dundee Courier :-
"BAILLIE - At 43, Norfolk Square, London, on the 24th inst., William Hunter Baillie, Esq., son of the late Matthew Baillie, Es., of Duntisborne House, Cirencester, and Long Calderwood, Lanarkshire, aged 97 years."

From the Leeds Mercury :-
"Mr. William Hunter Baillie, one of the few survivors of those born at the close of the eighteenth century, passed away in his sleep during the night of the 23rd inst. He was the only son of the eminent physician Matthew Baillie, M.D., who attended George III during his frequent illnesses, and was at the head of his profession early in this century. His mother was one of the twin daughters of Thomas Denman, M.D., John and William Hunter were his first cousins once removed, Agnes and Joanna Baillie were his aunts, and Lord Chief Justice Denman was his uncle. He was educated at Westminster and at Balliol, and was called to the Bar; but, owing to his father's death, which made him the owner of property, he never practised, but lived a comparatively quiet an uneventful life. He wrote an excellent preface to the works of his aunt Joanna Baillie and had a thoroughly cultivated taste and much knowledge of the literature of the last and the earlier years if the present century, and, like his aunt, Agnes Baillie (who died in her 101st year), was remarkable for a memory which retained not only the memories of his youth and prime, but enabled him to enjoy to the last, and to reproduce in conversation, all the best things which he had heard or read at any period however recent."
