"OBITUARY
The death was announced yesterday at his residence in Lowndes-square, of SIR ARTHUR TOWNLEY WATSON, K.C., at the age of 76. He was the only son of Sir Thomas Watson, a President of the Royal College of Surgeons and one of Queen Victoria's physicians in ordinary, who was created a baronet in 1866. His mother was a daughter of Mr. Edward Jones, of Brackley, Northamptonshire. Sir Thomas died in 1882 and was succeeded by his son as second baronet. The second baronet had been educated at Eton and St John's College, Cambridge, and had afterwards become a member of Lincoln's Inn, being made a Bencher in 1888. Three years previously he had taken silk. Sir Arthur married in 1861, Rosamond, daughter of Charles Powlett Rushworth, of Marylebone, and by her had two sons - Charles Rushworth born in 1865, who succeeds as third baronet, and Captain Arthur Gordon Cotton-Watson and two daughters. Lady Watson died in 1904. The new baronet is unmarried"
