17th Jun 1819	Married Emily GILLANDERS in India, Calcutta.35,36,37 From the Parish Register Transcription :- "Samuel Swinhoe of the City of Calcutta Bachelor a Captain in the Service of the Honble Company and Emily Gillanders of the same place Spinster were married at the St John's Cathedral in Calcutta aforesaid by Licence this seventeenth day of June in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and nineteen By me Danl Corrie Officiating Senr. Chaplain at the Presidency of Fort William This marriage was solemnized between us S Swinhoe Emily Gillanders In the presence of E Browne Capt Robert Swinhoe" From the East India Register and Directory, 1820 :- "17.
