"BY DEED of Appointment dated 18th November 1892 the said Mary Fernandes appointed the premises comprised in the 1st Schedule hereto to be held In Trust for the said Guy David Luis Fernandes his executors administrators and assigns absolutely and the premises comprised in the 2nd Schedule hereto to be held in trust for herself her executors administrators and assigns absolutely subject in each case to the life interests of herself and Mr. Fernandes.

From the Glasgow Herald :-
The will, dated August 9, 1880, with a codicil dated January 15, 1887, of Mrs. Mary Fernandes, late of Sandal, Hesketh Park, Southport, Lancashire, who died on December 20, was proved on March 3 by John Eccles, John Thornton and Albert Luis de Tavora Fernandes, the executors. The value of the personal estate amounted to upwards of £20,000.

From the London Gazette :-
"Creditors and others who have claims against the estate of Mary Fernandes, Late of Sandal, Hesketh Park, Southport, in the county of Lancaster, also trading under the style of John Hargreaves and Son, at the Old Brewery, Burnley, in the said county, deceased (who died on the 20th day of December 1892), are, on or before the 19th day of August next, to send particulars of their debts or claims to us, the undersigned ; and notice is hereby given, that the executors of the said Mary Fernandes will after the said 19th day of August next, proceed to distribute the assets of the said Mary Fernandes, having regard only to the claims of which they have had notice. - Dated this 25th day of July 1893.
