"Know all Men by these Present that We David Cooper of Fleet Street in the parish of Saint Dunstan in the county of Middlesex Iron-monger and Samuel Cooper of Sheffield in the county of York Gentleman are Bound, and firmly Obliged to the Right Worshipful John Audley Doctor of Laws, Vicar General, and Official Principal of the most Reverend Father in GOD Thomas by Divine Providence, Lord Arch Bishop of York, Primate of England, and Metropolitan, lawfully Authorised, in the Sum of two Hundred Pounds of good and lawful Money of Great Britain, to be paid to him the said John Audley his Executors, Administrators, Successors and Assignees; for the Payment whereof well and truly to be made we oblige ourselves and each of us by our selves; for the Whole, and the Full, our Heirs, Executors and Administrators, firmly by these Presents, sealed with our Seals, Given the twenty sixth Day of the Month of October in the Year of our LORD GOD, One thousand Seven Hundred and forty three.

The Condition of this obligation is such, That if the above-bounded David Cooper and Rebecca Wright now Licensed to be married together be neither of Consanguinity, or Affinity the one to the other, within the Degree prohibited for Marriage : If also there be no Precontract of Matrimony betwixt either of the said Parties, and any other Person or Persons whatsoever, but that they may be lawfully Married together, both by the Laws of God, and this Land : Moreover, If the Parents of both the said Parties (if they be living) or otherwise their Tutors and Guardians (if they have any) be thereunto agreeing : And lastly, if the said Marriage be done and Solemnized in such manner, as in the licence to them granted is Limited : Then this Obligation to be void, or else to remain in full Force and Virtue.

Corpus to testify and Give Evidence of the behalf of our Sovereign Lord the king against the said defender John Farmer to the then Grand Inquest at the said Assizes on the finding of the three Several bills of Indictment Mentioned in the Severall Certificated hereunto Annexed and the said (...) Dept. Say that the several bills of Indictment Could not have found as aforesaid agt. the said Defendant without the benefit of the Testimony of the said John Banfield (...) and these Depts. further Say that the said Deft. John Farmer for Some time last past hath been and Now is a prisoner in the Custody of the Marshall of the Kings Bench prison In Southwark as these Depts. one Informed and Verily believe to be true and that the said Deft. is to be tried on the said Severall Indictments at the Next Ensuing Assisse to be holden in and for the said County of Surry and these depts.
