Which day appeared personally Edward Ward of the Parish of Saint Peter in Derby in the County of Derby Bachelor aged thirty three year, Hatter, and prayed a Licence to be granted to him for the Solemnization of a Marriage with Jane Cooper of the Parish of Saint Michael in Derby aforesaid single gentlewoman aged thirty years in the Parish Church of Saint Michael or Saint Peter both in Derby or Allerton all in the County of Derby -
The said Edward Ward was then duly Sworn and the Licence was decreed
By me William Lockett Sur."
