From the Leeds Mercury :-
"Captain William Hunter Baillie, the only surviving son of the late Mr. William Hunter Baillie - whose death at the great age of 97 we recently recorded - died on Sunday at the comparatively early age of 56, after a long and painful illness. He had a remarkable power of managing and softening the rougher class of London lads and young men. He was one of the first, if not the very first, of the London Diocesan Lay-Readers appointed by the bishop of London. He, like his father, had always shown a great interest in the profession to which john and William hunter belonged, and he had himself helped the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians to keep the memory of these great men fresh by gifts of manuscripts and other relics from time to time."
