"Appeared personally Rodway Charles John Swinhoe of the Parish of St James Piccadilly in the City of Middlesex a Bachelor of the age twenty one years and upwards and prayed a Licence for the Solemnization of matrimony in the Parish of Saint Saviour Paddington in the same County between him and Annie Stirling Juxon-Jones of the said new parish of Saint Saviour Paddington a Spinster of the age of twenty one years and upwards and made oath that he believeth that there is no Impediment of Kindred or Alliance or of any other lawful case, not any Suit commenced in any Ecclesiastical court to bar or hinder the Proceeding of the said matrimony, according to the tenor of such licence. And he further made Oath the she the said Annie Stirling Juxon-Jones hath had her abode within the said new parish of Saint Saviour Paddington for the space of Fifteen days last past"

"The death occurred at Mandalay on August 5 at the age of 64 of Mr. Rodway Charles John Swinhoe, who for many years had been a solicitor at Mandalay (Burma) and was for a time additional Judicial Commissioner. He was the younger son of the late Henry Swinhoe, of Garden Reach, Cheltenham, and was educated at Cheltenham College from 1872 to 1882. He was the father of Capt. L. R. Swinhoe (O.C.), of the 1st Warwickshire Regiment."
