"Here lieth the body of Henry Swinhoe, Esq., Attorney At Law, who departed this life on the 27th Oct. 1808, aged 56 years and 3 months. He ever proved himself a virtuous man, a tender husband, and a most indulgent father. This Monument is erected to his Memory, by his afflicted wife, Jane Swinhoe. Also of Mrs. Jane Swinhoe, relic of Henry Swinhoe, who departed this life 22nd Feb. 1835, aged 77 years and 4 months."

Inscription :-
"Here lieth the Body of HENRY SWINHOE, ESQ. Attorney at Law, who departed this Life, on the 27th October, 1808. Aged 56 years, and 3 months.
He ever proved himself a Virtuous Man, a Tender Husband, and a most indulgent Father. This monument is erected to his memory, by his afflicted Wife, Jane Swinhoe.
