"The Lords of the Treasury have ordered their Solicitor to give public notice, that they shall lay claim, on behalf of his Majesty, to the estates of the late Sir Francis Knollys, if no heir at law shall be found previous to the 4th of next month.
It s said to be his Majesty's declared intention, in default of a claimant, to make a present of the above estates, and situated in the counties of Berks, Bucks, Oxford and Lincoln, to Mr. Pitt, as a reward for his public service."
