"In the name of God Amen I James Wallis of Burnstones in the Parish of Knaresdale and County of Northumberland Yeoman being weak in Body but of sound and perfect mind and memory (thanks be to God for the same) do make and ordain this my last will and testement in manner and form following (that is to say) - Imprimis my Will and Pleasure is that all my just debts funeral expenses and legacies hereafter mentioned shall be well and truly satisfied and paid by my Executors - Item I give and bequeath to my son Thomas Wallis and to his Heirs and Assignes for all that my freehold messuages and tenement situate lying and being in Burnstone in the Parish of Knaresdale and County of Northumberland aforesaid together with all the Houses Outhouses Edifices Buildings Rights Privileges and Appurtainces whatsoever to the said Messuage and Tenement belonging or in any wise appertaining - Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Hannah wife of Thomas Baxter all my Household Furniture of what sort so ever it may be that now stands or is used in my House at Burnstones aforsaid excepting two close Beds which I hereby will and order to remain and continue and the same Places where they are now fixed - Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary wife of Thomas Reah the annual sum of two pounds ten shillings to be paid her by my Executors yearly and every year for and during the term of five years next after my Decease shall happen and no longer - Item I give to my son in law Thomas Reah the sum of five shillings to be paid him by my Executors immediately after my Death shall happen - Item I give my son Albany Wallis the sum of one pound and one shilling to be paid him by my Executors when so ever he shall think fit to demand the same - Item I give and bequeath to my daughter in law Mary Wallis the sum of one pound one shilling - Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Hannah Baxter the sum of one pound one shilling - All the rest and residue of my goods chattels and personal estate I give and bequeath to my son Thomas Wallis and my son in law Thomas Baxter to be divided equally between them share and share alike and I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my 1s son Thomas Wallis and my son in law Thomas Baxter joint executors of this my last will and testement hereby revoking and disannulling all other wills and testements bequests and Executors by me at any time before this made bequeathed or appointed Satisfying and confirming this and no other for my last will and testement. In witness whereso I have (illegible) set my hand and seal the twenty first day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty one"
